Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum
The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, generally called the A-bomb Museum, was completed in August 1955. The building stands on pillars and serves as a gateway to the park.
The museum houses about 600 vivid exhibits related to the A-bombing, as
well as photographs illustrating scenes of the tragedy and other related items.
The museum is visited by more than 1,360,000 people a year, including many foreign dignitaries and tourists, all of whom have recorded their deep impressions of the museum in their own languages.
Museum Hours: 9:00 AM - 4:30PM
Open all year, except the last three days of each year, and the first two days of the new year.
A minor admission fee is required.
